Crashes on all devices

Our two year old loves this book and app, but it crashes all the time on our first generation iPad with current OS, so we paid again to buy the app for our iPhone 5s and 6, and it wont even open on either device! What a waste of money, but thats not the problem, we want the app to work! I hope the company is reading this and does the right thing to release an upgrade to fix the problem.
